- Robert Kirkman (@RobertKirkman) & Charlie Adlard
After the high drama of #100, Kirkman delivers (as he so
often does in these situations) a mediocre issue of The Walking Dead, with
despair and hope in equal measure. At this point, it feels as if the arc has
been a setup for something bigger. The issue itself feels rushed; if I was in a
more generous mood, I could say this is as a result of the urgency the
characters feel. What’s interesting is
that #103 is being described as “a new beginning” – I fear for this series and am
forming the opinion ‘if Rick goes, I do’.
Rating *** (twist)

And despite having a soft spot for blaxploitation (most recently in the form of Black Dynamite), the Ghost Variant is as ill-fitting as the variant by Erik Larsen for #50.
